so that was fun adding ftlblink to mptt.

something i didn't mention is there are a _lot_ of messages that
disappeared from this thread between the posting of the ftlblink code and
the uploading of it to github. :/ a _lot_. just in my google web client.
dunno if they got elsewhere or are still elsewhere if they did.
