What if that IP traces back to the Freedom network, for example? Have we as
cypherpunks created our own monster? Alarmist (Bill Joy) answer: yes, and we
need to make it illegal to research advanced cryptographic techniques. But
wait, we've already created the technology to make it impossible to determine if
this research is even taking place. It's already out of control! This is
either the beginning of the Golden Age of Self Organization or the end of the
world.
That is why our spam problem is such an excellent test case for our philosophy
(for those on the list who even knew we had one). And no, I'm not the spammer.
