The problem is that it's not an open market, really.

Where do you get that anyone here is advocating that the government steal
your
property to fix a problem? The problem re: the small farmer is the government's
policy. The
Dept. of Agriculture's policies promote large corporate farms, push
chemically-dependent
farming practices which sound good but bankrupt the small farmer, and, with *your*
stolen
dollars, provide heavy subsidies. In fact, corporate welfare is a mainstay for big
business,
isn't it? Especially in the fascist state. And, those subsidies are far better,
proportionately, for the big, corporate farmers. The problem is also that the Federal
Reserve
manipulates the money market, interest rates, etc., which created, awhile back, a very
major
increase in rural land values, enticing poor, hardworking, and often quite naive, if
not
ignorant, people to sell their birthright (the debt free family farm) for a bowl of
pottage
(the mortgage which allowed them to invest in high-tech equipment and chemicals which
the
other arm of the government was telling they needed to make it in the modern world)
and then
remanipulted the money supply to lower land values, whereupon the bank recalled the
mortgages, because of the loss of "equity", and foreclosed on one fuck of a lot of
farms. It
was obviously a cold, calculated plan carried out by a meld of government,
agribusiness, and
banks. The fucking fascist corporate state. This same scenario, with variations,
plays out
everyday, everywhere in the world, not just in the agribusiness sector, but in every
corporate sector they can. Fuck the state, fuck the corp.
So the problem is what the government is already doing, just like in
Guatamala.
And, what your problem is, like Tim, et al, is that someone is criticizing your
sacred
cow, the megacorp -- therefore, obviously, they must be a commie.
