Hi, I am using Cygwin (CYGWIN_NT-5.2-WOW64 1.7.11(0.260/5/3) 2012-02-24 14:05 i686 Cygwin) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 X64 Service Pack 2 . When I invoke C:/cygwin/bin/sh.exe from the command prompt it fails intermittently with the following error. $ C:/cygwin/bin/sh.exe -c 'date' 29196764 [main] sh 3588 fork: child -1 - forked process died unexpectedly, retry 0, exit code -1073741819, errno 11 sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable 30198805 [main] sh 3588 fork: child -1 - forked process died unexpectedly, retry 0, exit code -1073741819, errno 11 sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable 32199231 [main] sh 3588 fork: child -1 - forked process died unexpectedly, retry 0, exit code -1073741819, errno 11 sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable 36199854 [main] sh 3588 fork: child -1 - forked process died unexpectedly, retry 0, exit code -1073741819, errno 11 sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable What are the possible causes for this error.
