This is already possible: genmeshes support multiple render buffers
beyond the standard ones. These can be used for e.g. other UV coord set.

For a practical example, inspect a map lit by lighter2. You'll see that
the lightmap coordinates are specified as an additional render buffer
for the mesh object.

Not really, Patrick's problem was that he wanted "UVs per face". Your
'problem' is "multiple attributes per vertex" (which is already supported).
