We are living in different worlds. Let's assume for one moment my customers 
would accept such a cumbersome procedure - they are not able to follow through:

I just tried to explain this to my customer with Outlook 15 and failed. 
He was not able to change the .dat file extension (a well known problem with 
Windows default settings) or choose Outlook as app to display the file.

He is not able to see the original message or any metadata about it (e.g.
who sent it). Also people might just delete those mails as spam. All of this is 
unacceptable. I guess I will have to patch the code.
