hi it's so much fun to answer customer mails about "Cannot display Unicode content" messages! Those arrive in my mailbox as "Cannot display Unicode content" themselves and cannot be displayed - because I use current versions of fetchmail - which does not seem to support POP3 with UTF-8 - and mutt - which does not support message/global. Reading mails with more/less is fun!
So let's look at one example from Paypal. It contains a Feedback-ID header that ends with 0xa0 - a non breaking space. I guess that's an oversight from Paypal that would cause no issues with a version of Outlook that supports POP3 with UTF-8. Am I correct? From the headers I can see that my customer uses Microsoft Outlook 15.0. Would version 16 fix that? What do I tell my customer now? That Paypal got it wrong or that he should upgrade to Outlook 16? God this is fun. I love to be anal about such things! thnx, cu, brunni -- ++ Michael Brunnbauer ++ netEstate GmbH ++ Geisenhausener Straße 11a ++ 81379 München ++ Tel +49 89 32 19 77 80 ++ Fax +49 89 32 19 77 89 ++ E-Mail [email protected] ++ https://www.netestate.de/ ++ ++ Sitz: München, HRB Nr.142452 (Handelsregister B München) ++ USt-IdNr.
