I wonder if there has been any new development resolving this issue. My mail server seems to developed the exact symptoms recently... Using Debian testing x64, courier-imap 4.10.0-201202021 and gamin 0.1.10-4. I don't really want to go the route of replacing gamin with fam. I'm open to suggestions how to help troubleshoot this.
