Beta 3 probed and found all hardware without incident here is the lspci from 
Beta 3 on the firewire. A full output can be supplied if needed.

Using RC1 the machine locks up when probing the firewire port. It see the 
firewire as the TI version but hangs.




The machine is a Sager 8886 laptop, P4 Intel processor. Sager is manufactured by 
Clevo/Kapok the Clevo model number is 888E
