I got exactly the same problem with the Xfree Cooker 4.2.99 and a ATI
Radeon 7200 Qt.

I wanted to get PHP 4.3.0 to get the auto stuff of the PEAR core in this
version of PHP and launch an auto-update on cooker on it, then It
upgraded Xfree and did not gave out any error logs during installation
and reboot....
