Well, yes, and it does this, and this appears to replace the old
/etc/init.d/usbd, but so far as the set-up of usb, there is a recommended
(non chkconfig-aware) script in /etc/hotplug/usb.rc which begins with
a header that asks that this be moved to /etc/init.d/hotplug, and the
initscripts themselves include a script /etc/init.d/usb which appears
to set up the initial USB devices.
/etc/init.d/usb seems to me to be redundant since the hotplug will
initialize all the devices, but I then wonder if /etc/init.d/hotplug
should be moved in to replace it.
