Is the cdrom drive hanging (a state which it has been in for the past 10 hours)
also a software error? I think not. I can exit the UT installation program and
checking top and ksysgaurd shows that there are no instances left. And does the
closing of this bug as invalid mean that anyone who had a game that worked on
9.1 which doesn't even install now is screwed. I would think that this is a 9.2
bug, you? I'd have no problem firing up gentoo and getting an optimized gaming
machine, but that would take time. Time I'd rather spent troubleshooting this
problem with you guys so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. If you care
that is...

description:
i can't install unreal tournament 2003.
I reinstalled (rather unwillingly due to a reiserfs fsck up) and was able to
instal ET. For the ut2k3 installation however I can't get past the base
install (which is really just the installation script) no data is taken from
any cds. It says they are mounted in the console but the installation just
stops at extras/ip_passthru.pl.
I'm writing this as i try to install and it has been at that state for
minutes. For a normal instally i never even get to read what's being installed
until i get to the textures. Something. is. wrong.
I'd have put this with the other bug i made but *someone* seems to have gotten
rid of it.
