Wei-Chiu Chuang commented on HADOOP-17439:
------------------------------------------
I'm still not sure if rolling back guava version is the best option, and maybe
I'm just making noises here. Here are what I'm thinking:
(1) Depending on your Hive version, maybe we should get HIVE-21569 committed.
Or patch it in your Hive.
(2) If your Hive depends on custom version of Hadoop, you should be able pass
mvn -Dguava.version when building Hadoop libraries to change the guava lib
shipped with Hadoop.
(3) maybe we should simply remove the dependency on guava. Downstreamers may
break compilation, but it's easier to fix (add explicit dependency on guava)
than fixing guava APIs.
