I added DELAY_KEY_SUBSTRING to the work / test-commit-by-rename and reproduced 
the issue. Looks to me like [~fabbri] is right: an isChild function that checks 
both ends seems to address the problem. Going to see if I can refine that 
function a bit and will post a patch...
