Thanks for posting the patch Rushabh! I like this idea, it'll simplify client 
configuration.

I took a quick look, few questions:

* Could you update the documentation and core-default.xml about this new 
feature?
* Do we actually need the PB boolean? PB can differentiate between not 
specified, empty string, and set. IIUC it's not specified, then it's an old NN, 
and we can fallback.
