Review comment:
       I’m not sure, every time I’ve seen it used, the scalar function wrapper 
TransformFunction appears to be highly inefficient, so this is more of a 
question of usability than an “icing on the cake” kind of thing. We want users 
to both have access to these functions and be able to use them in real 
applications.
