@npawar Thank you very much, this configuration works for me as well! However, I'm still wondering why this is all necessary as your examples, e.g. gitHubEvents also contain nested fields "foo.bar" and there no special transformation configuration is needed. The only difference I see is, I'm using AVRO where the gitHubEvents example uses JSON. Maybe you wanna have a look at this as well, but I guess this ticket can be closed.
