An empty parenthesized right operand of `in` produces no inner evaluation stage. The single-element-array handling dereferences that stage during planning, so expressions such as `false in ()` panic. Check that the stage exists before inspecting its symbol. Empty clauses then produce the normal evaluation type error. Add regressions for boolean, string and parameter operands, with compatibility checks for single-element lists, multi-element lists and zero-argument functions. Validation: the regression panics before the guard; default and cache race tests pass with it.
