[The images he's sent to me are too large, unfortunately, to be posted
to the list. However, I still want to have Cc'ed this list so that
others can comment if interested.]

李先生,

新年快乐!

Thanks for the images. However, they don't explain what you exactly
want. How should a page full of tianboxes look like? Should it be

  (a) like the `4_3.png' image?

Or should be some vertical space added between the rows

  (b) like in `new_character.png'?

Or do you want both horizontal and vertical space between the boxes

  (c) like in `fore-six.jpg'?

Do you always want to typeset boxes

  (d) like this

        ---------
        ---------
        ---------
        +---+---+
        | | |
        +---+---+
        | | |
        +---+---+

regardless of the upper or lower part is empty?

Or do you want only

  (e) this

        ---------
        ---------
        ---------
        ---------

if there is no Hanzi? And if there is no pinyin, only

  (f) this

        +---+---+
        | | |
        +---+---+
        | | |
        +---+---+

or do you need everything of (d), (e), and (f)?

By the way, the appearance of `books.jpg' can be already created using
`ruby.sty'.
