app_queue has the advantage that the log reflects what really happens.
It may be hard to parse, but all the information is there, nothing is
erased or invented. This is very different from CDR's, where lots of
information is thrown away.
For us, the queue_log has been way less problematic than the CDR
logging.
I see your point, but app_queue still lacks logging the agents or
queue members, and logging to a db is only possible with a pipe. We
could perhaps use the app_queue logging, but it should be cleaned up
and should be doable directly to a db or to a pipe without attaching
an external process to the file
