There are two things, contextual (tabbed) toolbar, similar and the 'modern' modeless ui. It was first seen here http://blogs.kde.org/2011/04/06/kde-5-menu See also the old video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzv9M2_sLQc As for the adoption in other apps, the idea was presented at the 1st Calligra sprint. I know we cannot afford to do that now (maybe in the meantime Qt 5 port will what simplifies a lot of things with QML 2). This just isn't the top priority. But I agree something shall be changed, so if I had to vote, not displaying welcome dialogs if not really needed would be an easy, 'instant' fix. -- regards / pozdrawiam, Jaroslaw Staniek Kexi & Calligra & KDE | http://calligra.org/kexi | http://kde.org Qt Certified Specialist | http://qt-project.org http://www.linkedin.com/in/jstaniek _______________________________________________ calligra-devel mailing list calligra-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/calligra-devel
