The latest version of GNU make is 3.79.1. If it fails with that, then
we'll have something to talk about :)
Unfortunately I don't use, or even own, a Windows system of any kind so
you'll need to ask the [EMAIL PROTECTED] folks for more help; if someone
comes up with a patch that's generally agreed to be correct I'll happily
apply it...
