FYI, the planned move to git is due entirely to requests from the BOINC community. It was requested by the groups (WCG and Einstein) who are most actively involved in BOINC development. It was discussed extensively at the last BOINC workshop, and there was unanimous support for it. We neglected to announce it on this list - sorry. Sarcasm and rudeness are not called for. -- David
