Hi, I'm trying to test blocaled on a lfs/blfs build (SysV, of course). BLFS version is 2019-12-05. LFS version is SVN-20191201
When not applying the "link_whole" sed to dconf, some symbols appear as duplicate, and the build of dconf fails. When applying the sed to dconf, dconf builds, but dconf-editor fails because of missing symbols, which are exactly the same as those appearing as duplicate in dconf when the sed is not applied. dconf devs have commited the sed, but nothing has happened on the dconf-editor side. So I think dconf-editor devs have not yet hit the snag. I guess that any program using the API symbols that were duplicate may be broken now... Christopher has cited gnome-terminal as broken, and ISTR that Doug mentioned that he had problems with gnome-terminal (not sure the failures are related though). In any case, our book is broken. So I think we should do something (downgrading meson would be the easiest path).
