Yeah, it's pretty crazy, but I figured I was doing it anyway, do the mock-up quick, and if people seem to want it, then I can do the more tedious parts (contents seem to always be the most difficult part of a package for me).

Netflix and Amazon video were nice touches as I subscribe to both, plus Google
apps in the browser makes one less remote app for me, down to three now, all
proprietary.

Also, the wrapper for Flash in Firefox was mentioned in another response. It's
been a while since I've messed with it, but it wasn't the most stable at that
time. Maybe I should give it another go.

Take a look at: https://github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium (which I do not think will keep up with Chromium development pace)

I did some ChromiumOS Builds for customers before and noticed during the process that binaries, buildscripts and a toolchain get downloaded from Google's servers. This seems to be the same with Chromium (browser only). IMHO this conflicts with the "from scratch" idea.

BTW: Chromium apps will disappear soon, so you have to use the web sites again. Also Chromium does not contain all APIs of regular Chrome (Chromecast and Remote Desktop are missing), so many people searching for Chrome features have to go with the "original" - which is easy, it can be installed by just unpacking the deb archive.

Thus I think the freshplayerplugin is the best way to deal with flash. Regardless I still hope flash will die soon.

Yours,
Mattias
