If nobody picks this up, can you ping me on Thursday? (my current desktop is playing with building without almost all static libs, and for the moment it does not have the things I would use to test this: I've got _lots_ of non-redistributable PDFs which do not render in epdfview, but ISTR that my asymptote test files (at lfs) also give problems).
