At 2:30 PM this afternoon, Jean and I observed one Brant feeding from the
grass with a mixed flock of Canada Geese and geese hybrids. All were seen
at Jones Beach in Port Weller, in the grassy area just west of the parking
area.
Walking to the lookout on the east spit we observed 2 Red-throated Loon and
1 Common Loon.
We left Jones Beach at 4:45 PM with the Brant still present.
