Hi,

Blender's viewport was designed to have this 3d cursor. It's a functional part 
of the design, used in many ways. It's not a user preference, and certainly not 
something we can make optional.

Whether individuals "like" that design or not is really not relevant. What 
counts is how to make the best out of the feature to have it function well. Or 
change the design if it doesn't.

I can't repeat it often enough: you will always regret adding options or 
preference settings to hide weak aspects in design. Just don't. Fix the design, 
or live with it. We got enough todo :)
