Hello Beowulf, Zenodo does not work very well, perhaps it is overwhelmed with people studying corona virus. It simply does not accept any upload. However, if you have a GitHub account you can follow simple steps: activate a repository from Zenodo, sync your accounts, and the publish a release. It was very easy that way. Jonathan Engwall
