Hi

If you wanted to buy an smp machine of 8, 16 or 32 sockets, what would
be your options?

x86 architecture? Others?

In x86: 8 sockets is possible from a few vendors. 16 and 32 are not yest as single machines.

If you don't mind using the ScaleMP software layer you can get up to 32 sockets in an intel flavor. There are AMD flavor versions from other providers that will work as well if you prefer AMD chips.

Let me know if you want more info. I don't want to spam the list.

Joe

Thanks
