Good point. Thanks!

You might also want to talk to the folks at LANL to see if they've done
any initial ports of WRF to RoadRunner.

Apparently the folks at TeraSoft can bulk that up a little bit. To, like,
2GB, or so I'm told.
Curious where you get that information from. Their website listing
PS3 for sale says 256MB (192MB available to user):

I suppose it is possible to add more RAM if you really want to, but I
have a feeling it would probably void the official warranty from Sony
;-)
Anyways, I think as a first step, you should get a copy of the Cell
SDK and see if your code re-compiles without a hitch.
I've been talking to them a little bit about this. And... Regardless of
what they do, they have a deal with Sony. Their mods are "approved" and
don't void the warranty. It's even possible to boot back into game mode.
Hmmm. <evil grin> Imagine 64 nodes of Guitar Hero... </grin>
I'll keep looking. I'll likely get the SDK. I know Some folks at NCAR
who have been looking at this, and based on the customer list at
TeraSoft, I suspect there's been some work, but that no one is talking
about the results (yet). I may hear something at the WRF users Meeting
this summer.
Thanks, Gerry
