The only reason, and it’s not much of a reason, to switch from upper case to
lowercase tags is that if someone else sees the HTML filled with uppercase tags
they are probably going to assume that the code is ancient, out of spec, and
horrible. In fact,t hey might not even look at the code at all beyond the tags.

You will also run into more than a few people who will tell you that upper case
tags are wrong. Some of them will insist on this. If any of these people are
bosses or clients, is it worth arguing?

Personally, I dislike uppercase tags because to me they evoke 1995 and
GEOCities (Yes, I had to retype that three times to make it non-profane) and
<MARQUEE and <FONT and other abominations unto Nuggin.

So, if you’re more comfortable writing with upper case tags, do it. You might
want to ‘normalize’ to lowercase tags before publishing to a public webspace,
especially if it is someone else’s page you are working on.

The way I see it, the longer I put it off, the better it'll end up
being. Heck, school doesn't start for another 43 minutes.
