No, it seems that for whatever reason the HTML Clippings file was not
installed in Application Support for BBEdit. Carlton Gibson set me on
the right track with this note (responding to someone else's question)
in the "Where's the HTML clippings?" thread.

Quote: "if you "Show package contents" on the BBEdit app you can find
the "Default Support" folder. In there all the packaged clippings are
packaged up."

I decompressed the Clippings/Contents.tar.gz2 file, and moved the
"HTML.html" folder across to ~/Library/Application Support/BBEdit/
Clippings folder. (All that was there before was an "HTML
Glossary.html" folder, with 7 clippings in it.)

So, don't know why my default installation (upgrade) didn't do this.
Maybe because before I installed I renamed my earlier version of
BBEdit to "BBEdit 8". Perhaps this meant that version 9 did not,
therefore, install all its components as it is meant to. Pure
speculation!
