Users posted issues that were on their system. Other users commented informing them of this, or the original poster commented saying they had realized it. > Most recently, maintainer notified via comment Dec 2024 that > libsigrokcxx is missing and needed by other packages. > That comment doesn't make sense for this package because libsigrokcxx is a separate package which would depend on this one. No changes to libsigrok-git are needed for that, and the PKGBUILD posted by that commenter has weird non-essential dependencies added (icons for a library/tool without a graphical user interface? Should make anyone suspicious of the rest of the changes being made without a methodical approach too) > Package should be orphaned so someone else can update it. > > [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/xiota/ > [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/libsigrok-git/ There are, in the few comments, effectively 2 feature requests the maintainer should consider: adding the gpib dependency if possible (and it doesn't break other stuff), and changing the URL. Please don't make the mistake of trusting all the comments people make if you chose to maintain this package. Disowned.
