When I booked my hotel room, I inquired about transportation from the airport.

The young lady I spoke with stated there is no shuttle from the hotel.  The estimated taxi fare is $20.

There should be a hotel shuttle from SJC.  Worst case, it isn't a long cab ride, and there shouldn't be any shortage of people to share a cab with if you need to.

Thanks!

I could not remember how I went last time I went to San Jose.  All I remembered was taking a train.

SJC -> Train to hotel!

That was so long ago.  I think it was my first RUG!  Maybe my 2nd.

I would not recommend taking the train from SFO to San Jose.  You’ll have to navigate three different systems [BART, CalTrain and the Light Rail (or a bus)] to get to the Fairmont.

If you really need to fly into SFO, I would take an airporter shuttle service (like SuperShuttle) or something similar.   But even better, just fly into SJC.

In the same light…

I am about to make the airline reservations…

Do more people fly into SJC or SFO and take the train to San Jose?

I hate to fly… so I am looking at non-stop…  They keep offering SFO as well as SJC.
