Speaking of sushi... The FDA just announced there may be a salmonella
outbreak in spicy tuna that may affect 19 states so far!! Careful!

Joe,

There are some really good places to get sashimi. Near BMC’s Houston
office there is a small Japanese grocery store that I occasionally go to
called Nippon Daido that sells sashimi. I usually get that to take home
rather than going to a restaurant, but we have some excellent sushi places
(and a whole lot that are less than excellent.) The problem I’ve found in
Houston, restaurant-wise is that there are so many options that it takes a
while to weed through the bad stuff if you are just randomly picking places.

I don’t want to cause a bigger discussion about restaurants rather than
Remedy, but if anyone is going to travel to Houston and wants some
suggestions feel free to email me.

Thanks,

Except for Sashimi and Sushi.. I would agree with that.. I happen to love
raw Japanese stuff to death and found just a couple of good Japanese places
out there while I was there.. Ones next to the Marriott that I lived at if
I didn’t care to drive as it was in the strip mall adjoining the hotel and
the other was a drive away near the Galleria..

I did however find a number of places that had decent raw oysters for
appetizers..

** I think it's the low elevation. It makes it easier for them to fly
around. Same goes for the birds in TX. The Houston campus is nice. I
enjoyed my time there. Houston has about the largest selection of
restaurants I've seen anywhere. If anyone is in the Houston area I'd be
happy to share a list of my favorites that are close to the office.

No. I didn’t intend the pun, but that is pretty funny.

And I’m not a friend of bugs either. But there, they are more like small
cats. Ridiculous.

‘Did you see the bugs?’ ..... ‘The bugs are the biggest I’ve ever seen.’...

Did you intend the pun?

Sounds like normal Houston weather. Did you see the bugs? I think every
time I’ve been to Houston, there’s a rain storm. The bugs are the biggest
I’ve ever seen.

It is a nice campus.

I was there once after a nasty two day rain storm and flooding in Houston.
High winds blew one of those heavy glass doors off it's hinges and smashed
it on the concrete. Between the flooding and the wind it was a trip with
lots of memories.

Caught up with that storm again in Atlanta on the way home and it caught up
with me the next day here in Harrisburg.

** As long as we're part of this journey Ravindra, could you share with us
why you'd want to leave BMC? It always seemed like a great place to work.

Ravindra,

You may need to think about leaving this week after that post.
