John,

I don't know if you know Perl, or have it in your environment.but I'm sure
that there is a Perl COM module for a PDF that would be able to do things
with it.J

Subject: Reading and parsing a .PDF into a form.

**

Hello Listers,

ARS 7.1.0 Patch 4

MS SQL Server 2005

MS windows 2003 Server

I have a request from a customer to import a pdf file that looks like it
comes from an excel spreadsheet (table format).

Is there any way to screen-scrape or read a pdf into a format that ARSystem
can import?

I am hoping that we can get a datadump in .csv and forgo the pdf document.

Since we don't control the system that outputs the document I don't think a
webservice is possible either. That would be a nice alternative to manual
imports or copy and paste to ARSystem forms.

Thanks,
