Rick,

I'm on ITSM 7.0.3 and ARS 7.5 so Approval Central is 7.5. The problem is that
I did figure out somewhere that I can change a reference to something that
would cause Approval Central to open the Change Request directly from Approval
Central without the extra clicks that you would have to do via the View Details
button. Unfortunately, I figured it out in development and hadn't had time to
get back to work on that, or even document how I did it, so I'm trying to
figure it out again.

If I don't figure it out by this afternoon by just digging around, I'm going to
just go through the process of creating a Change Request, requesting approvals,
and logging the whole thing and digging through the logs to find out how that
gets set. It was a pretty cool thing to figure out since you can't customize
anything on Approval Central without BMC blindly wiping it out every time you
apply a patch. Once I figure it out again I'll have to post it on the ARSList
because a lot of people seem to not like the windows that pop up on Approval
Central.

Thanks,

Subject: Re: How to link directly to a Change Request in Approval Central

** Shawn, you didn't mention what version you have. In 7.5, the link to the
RFC is not there any longer, but in 7.0/7.1, what you do is open the approval
record and then you can view the RFC from there.

I seem to have forgotten something that I did in the past and need to do again.
The documentation I've referenced isn't helping so I thought I'd come to the
ARSList.

My management wants to be able to directly open a Change Request within
Approval Central when they click on the URL with the Infrastructure Change ID,
instead of that link going to the AP Detail Change Request join. I was playing
around with this a few months back and found a way to do this via configuration
without custom workflow, but unfortunately I never had time to finish and as a
result I didn't document it, and because I did it without a code change, I
can't look at Active Links and Filters by modified date to find it.

Any suggestions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
