Anything that gets written to the Windows Event log (Application, System, etc) at the time the server goes down? Anything that you see in those same logs at the time that you attempt to bring up the server once it is down but when it fails to come back up?

OR don't use Apache, use Tomcat on Port 80 w/APR it will serve files just as fast. But if you need a web server for other reasons, then try Apache - Tomcat combination, the Mod)JK AJP protocol between Apache and Tomcat is a bit faster than the IIS Tomcat redirector ISAPI. Back in April, our Production servers IIS configuration became corrupt. It would not start back up. Another 6 weeks go by and the new Prod Server had the same issue, completely shutting down on Memorial day. So we swapped out the servers again, taking the Dev server and making it the Prod server. I have a gut feeling that we will see this again. The previous servers were running Windows 2000, and ran flawlessly for 5 years.
