Dwayne:

These users have Vista and/or Windows 7 on their computers, right? It's
basically a Crystal incompatibility with certain print drivers under those 2
OSes. We work around that at our site in 2 different ways.

The first is that we have created HTML-based reports via ReportLink to replace
the Crystal Reports in many cases.

The other workaround I am aware of is that in the print driver properties for
the printer having the problem, go to the Advanced tab and if the option to
Spool Documents So Program Finishes Printing Faster is set with either of the 2
sub-options, change that to Print Directly to the Printer. Just be aware that
these settings are generally locked down on network printers - so if the users
who print to the problem printers are printing to network printers, you may
need to get whoever manages the print server involved.

Good luck!

Subject: Runaway Crystal Report printing

**
Dear List,

We have many Crystal Reports launched by Active Links, which in turn are
launched by Remedy Button fields. Several users report that on occasion (about
1 times in 10) they will print an ordinary two-page Crystal Report from the
User tool, and the printer keeps printing the same report over and over, and
they have to turn off the printer to stop it. It happens to different users on
different computers and different printers and different reports, and
apparently does not happen with any other application.

Any idea what might be going wrong?
