In addition, there's no limit as far as AR System is concerned for the
number of people that you can put in a support group, but you may
encounter problems with certain ITSM subsystems.  For example, there's a
design flaw in the Approval engine where it stores a list of everybody
in each support group in a single field on one of its forms, but that
field is only 254 characters long.  Obviously, it will break that if you
have too many people in the group.  If you're not using approval for
that group, that shouldn't be an issue, though.

To the best of my knowledge there is no such limit. You might only have
perfornamce problems with too many support groups
