OK...gotcha...but if I were you, I would switch from .bmp's to .gif's or
high quality .jpg's to reduce download times.

Subject: Re: View field on Mid-Tier

Because I have multiple customers that I support. And, depending on the
customer, when they log in, I want them to see their own background. I
want it to be dynamic, so we're not always having to add more buttons
and code with each new company we support.

Now, I just have a form that stores my companies, there is a field on
there called Banner URL that we store a url to the banner bmp file on
the webserver.

I then dynamically pull that across into the view field based on the
company the customer belongs to.

Now, if we have a new company, we just have to place the bmp file out on
the webserver for their custom banner, and then when we create their
company entry in the company form (actually called Organizations), we
just have to put the URL to the bmp file there.

Thanks,

Why not just lay the .bmp on a button and then display the button as a
flat image?

Subject: View field on Mid-Tier

**

I have a view field that I'm trying to use as a banner.

I set a tmp field to the url of a banner.bmp that is out on my
webserver.

Then, I use a set fields to set the view field = $tmpbanner URL$

In the user tool, if I change from a submit window to a search window
and then back to a submit and a search again, then the banner will
finally display. It will not display at first like it should.

Also, when the banner finally does display, there is a whitespace
between the bmp file that it is loading and the top and the left of the
view field, even though the view field was smaller than the image it was
loading.

Does anyone know how to fix the whitespace issue? I have already turned
off borders for my view field.

Thanks,
