Hi Brian,

You shouldn't have to create any virtual directories yourself. Pretty much
everything you need to know is in the mid tier installation guide.

On the BO box you need to have in addition to Crystal Report Server or BO
Enterprise & IIS
1) Remedy User with the odbc driver and a matching system data source
2) Java runtime
3) The ARWebReportViewer . This is an option in the mid-tier install and can
also install tomcat automatically.
4) Run the mid tier config on both your mid tier and your ARwebreport Viewer
server. Follow the instructions on configuring them. Your mid-tier must point
to your BO server for reports and your ARWebreport config must have the details
on your BO configuration. I created a folder within Enterprise for the reports
to be stored. This location is configured here.

The installation above will demand a reboot so let your BO admin know that.

I had to copy some files that we had installed on D drive to the C drive as the
AR WebReport viewer seemed to look for them on C and I couldn't find anywhere
to configure this. I have also found that the alias as defined within your
crystal reports must reflect the Remedy form name with special characters
replaced with underscores.

Good luck with it. If you have any specific questions I may be able to help.

Subject: Integrating Crystal Enterprise 10 and MidTier

**

I have a Mid Tier 7.1 server. There is a Crystal Enterprise 10 Server on
another physical server. I have read through the Mid Tier documentation and
searched the support site but still not clear what I need to do to integrate
the two of them. The admin on the Crystal Server is not the easiest person to
work with so I want to be clear what I ask him to do. We are using IIS on both
servers. I believe that a virtual directory needs to point to a report share.
Is the report share on my Mid Tier and the virtual directory on the Crystal IIS
server? What else needs to be done? Is there a clear document that outlines
what I have to do?

Thanks
