Mark, Then the "bug" is in DSO.
Ref: BasicGuide-630.2006.05.09.pdf pg 114 In the text talking about the 'Group ID' field in the Group form: " If you use the same ID with multiple group names, you must keep the Group type the same for each because you are creating aliases for the same group. " Once upon a time.... Remedy classes actually instructed you on "how to" and "when to" use a "Group Alias". (Multiple 'Group Name' values for the same 'Group ID' value.) This is a feature of ARS and has likely been neglected as the "newer" programmers have stepped up and taken over maintenance of the code. I however, hope and pray that this fundamental (AKA: version 1 or 2) feature continues to be supported because there are more than tons of changes that customers would need to make if they broke that fundamental feature. (Like they did when they took away multiple User forms. GRRRR... Like they did when they changed how $PROCESS$ functions "timeout". GRRRRRRR. [Still grinding an axe over that one.] ) Anyway... I hope you can resolve your issue without waiting on BMC for a bug fix. -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap....
