What you describe is not an error. It can be that way by design.

Check your Group form for matching data by 'Group ID'. If you have
records for each pair then everything is as it should be. (Based on
the data that is itself _not_ conflicting with itself. :)

If you find that your Group form has N records and your group_cache
has 2xN record then you might have something out of whack, but I would
fix it with the arcache utility instead of deleting records at the DB
and doing a restart.
