You must not have to drive in traffic. Stick shifts are a nightmare in traffic.

I nearly called every other popular company and none of them keep stick shifts. I just wanted to get re-accustomed to driving a stick as I was planning to buy one the next time I have to buy a car. The one I have now is pretty good and I won't need one for a while but I don't quite enjoy driving automatics as much as I used to enjoy driving stick. Anyway thanks for the info. Joe PS: Considering this thread's content is a violation of what this forum is supposed to be, please E-mail me offline if you do know of any dealers or renters who rent out stick shifts.. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Pickering, Christopher Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 1:15 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Renting standard/stick transmission cars in USA ** Joe, My experience is that most if not all normal car rentals are in the form of automatics as there are few people who know how to properly drive a stick. What I would suggest is to go to a dealer, preferably one of the bigger ones, who rent cars too and see if they have any. But beware, you will probably only find high end cars, similar to that grey one you have, and its gonna be expensive. I was trying to google for any auto rental companies around in the USA more specifically around New Jersey, that may rent out a standard / stick shift transmission car - without much luck. If anyone on the list from around the East Coast who may have rented such a car, could you please let me know where?
