We set up the table to use the External qualifier for tables. We use
Active Links that on display sets the query to 1=0 for any tables that
are on tabs that are not displayed when the record is displayed. The
Active Links are set to fire On Focus for the tab that sets the query
field to a valid query and then refreshes the table. The one quirk I
need to work out is if the tab being displayed is not the default tab
for the form. This is Tab 1 is usually displayed but the user clicks on
Tab 5 and cycles through the list. I been looking at using $FIELDID$
keyword to determine that. I just haven't had the time to pursue that
one further.

Subject: Question: Table Refresh

**

I was wondering if someone might have some feedback for me.

I am trying to improve loading time of records and one of the items I
want to do is change the tables so they don't auto refresh unless the
user clicks on the tab that contains a table.

The only issue I can see with this is when they have multiple records in
the results pane and choose another record they are still on the same
tab so it will not refresh.

If I have it refresh on Display I'm back to the same issue of tables
loading information that may not be needed.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

T.
