Robert,

You may find other issues with the Notify Action in a filter. While the
To: and CC: fields are large in the AR System Email Messages form
(32,000 characters), the Notify action truncates the addresses to 256
characters. When I brought this up with Support, I got "working as
designed". I had an Enhancement Request put in to change the design.

It was suggested that I do a push fields action to the AR System Email
Messages form. It took me several weeks and a ticket for another issue
with the email messages form to pull it all together. The push fields
action is cumbersome but it does work. It involved pushing data to the
field and the value as field/value pairs to the Field Values on the
Variable Replacement tab under Advanced Options. I also needed to push
the Content Template ID: that matched my html template, the To:, CC:,
From:, and Subject fields. The Push also set the Send Message field to
Yes.

For what I was sending, I needed to make the Field Values field on the
AR System Email Messages larger than 32,000 characters. I was encoding
the Midtier URL to records and just that coding for 188 records put me
over the 32,000 character limit.

Subject: Question about the "Content" field under Templates for Notify
actions

**
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I didn't have it in my
archives of the list.

I was trying to add a content template to a Notify action and I noticed
that there is a character limit on the "Content" field under Templates.
First off, is this the right field to add the template to, and if I use
a field ID for the contents of the template, will I be restricted by
this limit?

To me, It seems like a ridiculous small character limit for a template.
