isn't an openbsd issue, at all.

monitor would be a one-time thing.
Ultimately what would be required in my context is a permanent gpio 14/15 serial
connected to a rpi2b acting as a console server (this is what I have with the
rpi4)
because it was planned for the system to run headless. The debug probe is
almost 7x the cost of a ttl serial. I'd prefer to go the gpio route if it's possible,
some places say it is possible, others not.
