It could be hardware related.  However, it's a new laptop (bought this
summer) and the temperature stays normal.  What leads me to think that
it's
kernel related is that I didn't had any freezes with 2.6.14 (*crosses
finger*).  I might try again when 2.6.15.1 will hit the repos.
